Drive One 4 Ur School Fundraiser – Support Your Kent City Area Schools
Kent City Ford Partnered with Kent City Community Schools
Kent City Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School Program raised more than $5,000 for Kent City Schools Athletics on Sept. 24, 2011. The event presented by Kent City Ford and Kent City’s girls basketball program (K-12) was a huge success. Kent City Ford gave people the opportunity to come and test drive one of the new Ford vehicles at Kent City Ford to help raise money for the Kent City athletic programs.
“We are extremely appreciative of Kent City Ford. The kids worked hard, the community worked hard and Kent City Ford worked hard to make it a success. We are already looking forward to the next one!” said Kent City girls varsity basketball coach Scott Carlson.
For each test drive taken, Ford donated $20 to the Kent City Schools Athletics up to a total of $6,000! The fundraiser was a great success and Kent City Athletics are very thankful to everyone who came out to support them. Clark Insurance Agency of Casnovia also sponsored the event by providing coffee, donuts, hot dogs and drinks.
“It’s really a good community event,” adds Kent City Ford and Kent City Alumnus Mike Shirley. This event allowed for the Kent City girls basketball team to get new equipment and uniforms.
